The Scrapper With Nine Lives…

Legendary Heavyweight Boxer Ted Grant started off as a kid during the Great Depression who was pushed constantly to get past his fear and conquer it.  When he found himself orphaned, Ted came to the rescue of a boxer who took him in under his wing and Ted soon became a great pugilist.  The boxer’s other friends were not big fans, but were involved with organized crime and plotted to frame Ted for the death of his opponent.

This forced Ted to put on a costume and fight to clear his name and the Wildcat was born.

Wildcat joined the ranks of the All-Star Squadron and Justice Society of America, most notable were his cases after the team returned to active duty once the Red Scare was over.  Wildcat frequently is the most aggressive fighter on the JSA team and is the unofficial head trainer for hand-to-hand combatants in the JSA and the metahuman community at large.

Athletics – Ted is a superbly trained athlete and having been crowned heavyweight champion of the world should be considered one of the toughest natural athletes in the DCU.

Martial Artist – Mostly relying upon boxing, Wildcat has been trained in numerous other fighting more traditional fighting styles from around the world.
