Viking Prince

Seeking Valhalla…

The legend of the Viking Prince is obscured through time itself, most of the legend has been lost but what snippets remain follow here.

Jon is his name and Jon lived in the Viking territory of Scandinavia in 964 A.D.  In this time Jon was perceived as a child by the Viking ruler Thonwald to be the true successor to the throne.  As a result Thonwald tried to have Jon killed but failed to do so.  Jon realized who he actually was and succeedded to reclaim the throne.

Jon began to warWar comics feature military personnel fighting enemy troops. These comics are great adventure comics, but also very useful propaganda. with his fellow vikings and in a battle that raged for days, weeks, months.. time has forgotten how long the battle raged.  Jon was the lone survivor and he saw coming to him a lone Valkyrie greeting the waking dead.  Jon and the Valkyrie fell in love with each other, but Valkyrie being of Asgard answered to a greater master, Odin.  Odin saw the pairing and said should Jon die an honorable death the Valkyrie and he would be reunited in Valhalla.  Then Odin granted Jon invulnerabilityA character possessing this power is typically impervious to harm from normal means or even extraordinary means unless they possess a weakness of some sort such as Superman to Kryptonite or Magic. to all man made weapons, the elements, and the passage of time itself.

Questing for a glorious battle that would take his life, Jon slowly realized that there was no way that he could die an honorable death.  So, he sailed his ship by himself from the Scandinavian shores never to return.
