Three is a Magic Number….

Luorno Durgo of Cargg is one of the first non-charter members of the Legion of Super-Heroes.  She joined when she proved how easy her power to split into three identical people could be used to confuse the Legionnaires.  In her first story appearance she, Saturn Girl, and fellow new member Phantom Girl invited Supergirl to join the Legion of Super-Heroes.

As the Legion grew, one of their villains named COMPUTO was created and in the ensuing battle killed one of Luornu’s bodies.  Most Carggites die when one of their duplicates die, however Lu didn’t and continued to serve in the Legion as Duo Damsel.

Lu developed an attraction for Superboy, even though all the history books told her everything about who Superboy would love in the future.   She finally accepted this when she was in the 20th Century and Superboy treated her like one of the guys.

Eventually she fell in love with and married Bouncing Boy and the two retired and took up posts as instructors at the Legion Academy.

Lu continues to serve as a Reservist Legionnaire and is called upon to serve when the Legion faces an extreme emergency.

Powers

Duplicate Self – Lu could originally split into three identical selves, when she lost her third self her power was reduced to the ability to only become two distinct selves.

Personality Shift – Sometimes Lu’s separate selves would show distinct personalities, when they are usually supposed to be in harmony.

Skills

Marital Artist – Lu has developed a specialized form of fighting called Tri-Jitsu, which evolved into Duo-Jitsu.

Spy – Lu is adept at subterfuge using one of her bodies to distract someone while the other does investigative work.

Equipment

Costume - Lu wears a special costume that duplicates with her when she splits from herself.  Sometimes she has worn costumes that become two separate colors, usually orange and purple.

Legion Flight Ring – All Legionnaires wear a ring which enables them to fly, communicate with each other across the distances of space, call for assistance, or locate other Legionnaires.

Legion Transuit – A transparent spacesuit that activates automatically in the event of a vacuum.
