The Shady Lady….

Tasmia Mallor of Talok VIII gained her family’s hereditary darkness casting powers by going on a vision quest to a cave.  Along the way she met her cousin, Grev, and the two of them continued on to the site of their ancestor’s resting site.  Gas engulfed the two of them and when they came to they both possessed the ability to cast fields of darkness.

Not much is known of Tasmia between this point and when she joins the Legion.  She was off planet when the Fatal Five had taken over Talok VIII and when she attempted to return her ship was fired on.  Smartly, she went to the Legion for assistance and before the end of the adventure had not only saved the Legionnaires but earned herself a spot on the team, the first ever hero to be voted into membership in the midst of a case.

Shady set her romantic sites on Brainiac Five and even Superboy, but she finally settled on Mon-El and the two of them struck up a relationship that has lasted a very long time.  Shady is very close with Phantom Girl as well.

Powers

Darkness Casting - Tasmia can cast a field of darkness radiating from herself in any direction.  This darkness field is not impenetrable, except to light.

Infra-Red Vision – Tasmia’s vision can see through her own darkness fields and any normal darkness.

Vulnerabilities

Tasmia is a normal humanoid female and suffers from the same vulnerabilities as you or I.

Skills

Desert Survivor – Born on Talok VIII there are oasis cities, but the rest of the planet appears to be scorching deserts and jagged, inhospitable mountain terrain.

Martial Artist – Tasmia is well trained in melee combat both with and without the use of her darkness abilities.

Equipment

Legion Flight Ring – All Legionnaires wear a ring which enables them to fly, communicate with each other across the distances of space, call for assistance, or locate other Legionnaires.

Legion Transuit – A transparent spacesuit that activates automatically in the event of a vacuum.
