Shade the Changing Man

Rac Shade is the owner of the M-Vest, a vest that projects powerful illusions based upon the emotions of those looking at the vest.  How he got this vest, is another story altogether.

Rac Shade is a secret agent from the Meta World, a world that exists in another dimension close to Earth.  In order to travel from Meta to Earth one must go through the three zones, the Meta Zone, the Zero Zone and the Earth Zone.  Rac was assigned to train a new agent for assignment in the Earth Zone.  This agent is Mellu Loron and the two of them fell in love.  Mellu however was the daughter of the Meta Zone’s top criminal, Sude, the Supreme Decider.  Sude is heading up a conspiracy to take over both Meta and Earth.

The Miraco Vest or M-Vest was invented by Dr. Miraco and this invention was sought after by Sude.  When Miraco was murdered by Sude’s operatives, Shade recovered the vest and stashed it on Earth.  Shade returned to Meta to find himself a wanted man for the explosion that crippled Mellu’s parents.  The irony being that agents fighting against Sude placed the bomb.  Shade was arrested and sentenced to death for his complicity.  During an accident after being convicted Shade was catapulted into the Zero-Zone and made his way to Earth from there.

Sude went into a coma thereafter and her assistant Dr. Z.Z. began to take over the plans.  Shade was promised amnesty if he tracked down Dr. Z.Z. and brought them to justice.  Eventually, Shade reconciled with Mella, but their story is far from over as the quest for Dr. Z.Z. continues.

Martial Artist - Shade is a very good hand-to-hand combatant.

Anti-Gravity Belt – Shade wears a belt that allows him to break free from the bonds of gravity and fly.

M-Vest – The Miraco vest has several different functions.

• Dimensional Travel – The MVest allows for travel from the Earth Zone to the Meta Zone.
• Force Shield – Shade’s MVest provides a force shield around him to protect him from some harm
• Illusions – Shade’s MVest emits an energy that distorts his body size/shape based on the emotions of the people watching him.
