Robotman – Robert Crane
The Metallic Man…

Robert Crane was a scientist in the 40s who was attempting to perfect a way to keep a brain functioning when the body processes had ceased. Along with his assistant, Charles Grayson, they toiled at length at what seemed like a plausible plan. Sometime in 1941 the scientists were in the lab when criminals set about to take their invention. Mortally wounding Crane, the villains escaped and it was up to Grayson to save his cohort.
Grayson transplanted Robert’s brain into the robot body they had built, but this left Grayson the obvious suspect of a horrific murder. Though Crane was horrified of being robbed of his humanity, he knew he had to clear his friend. Crane adopted a new identity as Paul Dennis and found the criminals who killed him and brought them to justice, clearing Grayson of all wrong doing.
Calling himself Robotman, Crane was drafted into the All-Star SquadronAn superhero organization founded on Earth-TwoThe Earth that features characters that typically started in and around World War II, however some younger characters also exist on this earth as well. by then President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in order to defend the United States of America versus the Axis powersThe extraordinary abilities that a characterAny sentient entity that appears in a comic book.
