The Ray of Light…

Happy Terrill was a reporter for a New York newspaper when he covered the story that changed his life.  Aboard an experimental dirigible constructed by a scientist, there came up a huge electrical storm.  The storm was so massive that the ship’s on-board airlock door had opened.  Happy bravely tried to close the door and in doing so became super-charged by electrical energy which imbued him with great powers.

Happy decided to use his powers for good and became a member of a team of heroes known as The Freedom Fighters and All-Star Squadron.

Powers

Energy Absorption – The Ray can absorb electrical, heat, and light energy wave forms.

Energy Beam – The Ray can emit powerful laser like beams.

Energy Being – The Ray can, under extreme circumstances, turn his body into a creature of living light.

Flight – The Ray can fly at fantastic speeds.

Glow – Ray can emit an aura that allows others to see in the dark.

Heat Beam - The Ray can discharge waves of heat at his opponents.

Lightning – The Ray is able to discharge electrical energy beams as well mimicking the energy of lightning if not the form.

Super Speed – Ray can use Super-Speed while he is flying.

Vulnerabilities

Happy is a normal human and has no special protections beyond being hard to hit in battle due to his speed.
