Now You See Her.. Now You Don’t…

Sandra Knight is a Washington D.C. debutante and daughter of a U.S. Senator Harry Knight who was ahead of her time for most women having an aptitude of science.   Sandra worked on an experimental “black light ray” that was incomplete when her professor was kidnapped by persons unknown.

One evening Sandra went to meet her father and intercepted two men who were plotting to kidnap her father.   She emerged from the bushes and knocked both the men unconscious.   When the would be kidnappers were revived, the referred to their attacker as a “phantom lady”.   Sandra vowed to continue to defend others as The Phantom Lady.

Sandra went to her cousin Ted Knight, who is the costumed heroA character that typically acts in a heroic manner. (Example: Wonder Woman €™s deeds of saving Paradise Island from the mythological beasts have made her an Amazonian hero.) Starman, and together they perfected her black-light ray.   Wearing a few costumes taken from bathing suits to distract her usually male adversaries, Phantom Lady was a distracting and dangerous opponent to the forces of evil.

Sandra joined up with Uncle Sam and the rest of the Freedom Fighters and went to Earth-X to fight the good fight.

Black Light Ray – Attached to her wrist is a small mechanism that fires a beam of black colored light that can blind her opponnets or if she uses it on herself it can make her invisible.
