In a dark mansion named Wintersgate, sitting everywhere and nowhere at once sits Baron Winters, the plotting leader of a loose confederation of individuals that the Baron recruits to do his bidding in balancing the scales between good and evil.

Through some as of now unrevealed limitation, the Baron cannot leave the manor, however its doors open to limitless dimensions allowing him to send his minions anywhere to deal with any scenario.

Frequently these agents are only together for the time that they are accomplishing this mission and then they separate back to their more mundane lives, most of them glad they did what they did, but resentful of the treatment and manipulation of Baron Winters himself.
