The Flawless Fighter….

Val Armorr is the son of a criminal mastermind named the Black Dragon and a secret agent named Valentina Armorr.  In an attempt to hide Val from his father, Valentina paid the price with her life, but was avenged by Sensei Toshaiki who killed the Black Dragon and then took the orphaned Val in and raised him as his son.

Val grew in strength and was trained in every martial art that has ever been created.  Mastering all of them, Val decided he would try out for membership in the Legion of Super-Heroes.  He won his spot on the roster by battling Superboy to a draw in hand-to-hand combat.  Soon after, he was accused of being a traitor and was under a great deal of suspicion.  When the traitor was revealed as Nemesis Kid who was actively attempting to frame Karate Kid, Nemesis Kid disappeared and their fates became intertwined.

Val soon fell in love with fellow Legionnaire Princess Projectra of Orando and the two started dating, much to the chagrin of Projectra’s father King Voxv of Orando.  The King decided that Karate Kid should do a great deed in a barbaric time and it was decided that Val should go to the 20th Century to quest and prove his worth as a commoner to the Princess.

When Val returned from his 20th Century adventures, he went before King Voxv for permission to court Projectra, but before the King could approve, he was struck dead by an apparent heart attack.  Val now serves as Projectra’s consort in the court of Orando and the two of them have taken a leave of absence and are reserve members of the Legion.

Detect Flaw – Val has the ability to zero in on a weak point on an object and strike there in order to cause the most damage with his karate skills.

Vulnerabilities

Val is a normal human and as such suffers from the same vulnerabilities as you or I.

Death Wish – Val sometimes acts as if he wishes to die, taking insane risks

Skills

Martial Artist – Val is one of the preeminent martial artists in the DC Universe.

Weapons Master – Though Val hardly uses weaponry in his every day adventures, he is a master of all melee weaponry.

Equipment

Legion Flight Ring – All Legionnaires wear a ring which enables them to fly, communicate with each other across the distances of space, call for assistance, or locate other Legionnaires.

Legion Transuit – A transparent spacesuit that activates automatically in the event of a vacuum.
