Arrows - Ollie’s arrows run the gamut of gadgets. Among the most commonly used are:
- Blade/Edge Arrows – A traditional arrow with a razor sharp point.
- Blunt Arrow – An arrow with a hard rubber tip on the end of it.
- Bola Arrow – An arrow that forms into a bolas to trip opponent’s feet.
- Boxing Glove Arrow – An arrow that forms into a boxing glove to shoot at opponents.
- Cocoon Arrow – An arrow that creates a sheath of foam around a target, immobilizing them.
- Explosive Arrow – An arrow that creates an explosion upon impact.
- Glue Arrow – An arrow that exudes a strong epoxy when it comes into contact with a hard surface.
- Handcuff Arrow – An arrow that forms into handcuffs.
- Impact Arrow – An arrow like the Blunt Arrow, but with an electrical charge.
- Line Arrow – An arrow that comes with a line attached to it for getting from building to building.

Bow - Ollie’s bow is extremely strong and resistant to normal damage and battle stress. He tends to carry a back up folded compound bow on the back of his quiver.
Quiver - Ollie’s quiver holds at least 30 arrows locked into place. A quick turn and jerk removes the arrow from its space and readies it for firing. This locking mechanism accounts for Ollie not losing arrows out of his quiver all the time.
Green Arrow is Oliver Queen, playboy millionaire who was on his yacht partying when he was suddenly over board. Oliver managed to make it to a deserted island and with no other means to survive, crafted a bow and arrows from the wood on the island and taught himself to become an expert marksman. In some versions of Ollie’s origin, he is pushed over board by individuals seeking to gain control of his riches and he has also found himself on an island full of drug smugglers or other neer-do-wells that he is forced to confront and defeat in order to find rescue.
Ollie has lost and regained his fortune over the years, but his most famous exploits up to this point include that of his sidekick Speedy, along side the Justice League of America, or palling around with Green Lantern Hal Jordan in the classic Green Lantern/Green Arrow series when GL decided to find out what it was like to confront less alien menaces and more street level ones.
In the early days, Ollie was really like a Batman character, he had an Arrow Cave and an Arrow Car and an Arrow Plane (get it?). However as time marched on, Ollie gained more as a street level fighter crusading for the little guy rather than battling the larger menaces that kept grabbing the Justice League’s attention.
The one thing that kept Ollie in the League was his romance with the beautiful Black Canary who joined the team after losing her husband and migrating from Earth-Two to Earth-One.
