This last event sent Brainy into a descent into insanity which he did eventually recover from, but now his fellow Legionnaires tend to wonder if Brainy is brilliant or insane or some mixture of the two. Querl also was distracted by his crush and eventual puppy love relationship with Supergirl.

He also considers Saturn Girl, Chameleon Boy, and Element Lad as intellectual peers, though inferior, he trusts their judgment and instincts.
