Piracy With Valor…

Jon Valor felt that his particular country in Europe was on the wrong side of a warWar comics feature military personnel fighting enemy troops. These comics are great adventure comics, but also very useful propaganda. and so decided to abandon his nobleman’s  existence  and became the Black Pirate with a rag tag assortment of other freedom fighters,  Jon was eventually captured and sentenced to death by the Spanish crown, until it was learned that Jon had married into the familyMeant to denote a group of characters that are all interrelated or share the same origins, methodology, or powers. (Example: All Members of the Green Lantern Corps belong to €œthe Lantern family €) the night before by marrying Donna Benita, the King’s ward.  In exchange for his life, Jon was put to work for the Spanish flag as a naval agent.  Jon agreed as long as that duty was in the cause of justice.

Jon and Donna eventually had a son named Justin who grew up to be just like his father with a thirst for justice and a desire to see action.   The time came at last that Spain endured a very troubling time and the Valor familyMeant to denote a group of characters that are all interrelated or share the same origins, methodology, or powers. (Example: All Members of the Green Lantern Corps belong to €œthe Lantern family €) was forced to flee as other insidious interests had taken a hold of Spain’s interests.

Justin would be lost at sea and feared dead and Jon confessed to the British crown that it was he who was the Black Pirate and retired his cowl.  His retirement would be short lived as the King demanded that Jon seek out this “new” Black Pirate who had been boldly robbing from British ships.

Jon set out to find the new Black Pirate only to come face to face with his own son, who now was a Puritan stealing to fund the trip from the old world to the new world.  Jon saw his son off on his trip overseas to the new world and retired his title as the Black Pirate for good.
