The Backhand Basher….

Bette Kane is the niece of Kathy Kane, otherwise known as Batwoman.  Bette figured out her aunt’s secret identity and then joined in to the Bat Family primarily due to her idolizing Robin, the Boy Wonder.   Always the one with a crush Bette pursued Robin relentlessly in the early days, to no avail.

Bette eventually left Gotham and concentrated on college and her burgeoning tennis career.  She performed quite well on the circuits, winning many major tournaments before she would turn up again as a member of Titans West to confound Robin once again and being an obvious rival to his affections and extremely distrustful of Joker’s Daughter/Harlequin.

Bette has since mostly retired from active adventuring however every once in a while she will assist the Titans on large missions or still holding out hope that Dick Grayson will pick her to be his very own.

Infatuated – Bette is simply ga-ga over Dick Grayson and any villain who knows this could use that information to their advantage.

Skills

Athletic – Bette is a natural athlete and this assists her with crime fighting.

Martial Artist – Bette is a fair martial artist, while completely capable of taking down street thugs, she is not a master martial artist by any means.

Utility Belt – Bette carries a typical compliment of female themed Bat accessories in her belt, including birdarangs, grappling hook & line, explosive pellets, gas bombs, tear gas, glass cutter, first aid kit, etc..,
