The Girl Under The Sea…

Tula had lost her parents early in her life and she was adopted by the Atlanteans in Posiedonis as their new Princess.  She lived a life of princessly confinement until she met Garth, whom she immediately fell in love with.  Since the feeling was mutual, the two carried on a teen romance for quite a while.

Aqualad had to leave Atlantis due to political reasons and troubles with Aquaman and Mera’s marriage and during this time a despot named Narkran assumed control.  Tula led a successful rebellion against the usurper and overthrew his regime.  Beyond that, Tula is a constant companion to Aqualad and the two have occasional adventures together.

Powers

Freedom In Water – Aquagirl can move through water with no impediment whatsoever which makes her quicker than most other characters.  While she does not have super-speed, her reflexes are extremely quick.

Hearing/Sonar - Aquagirl can hear things from a far distance and has demonstrated some form of sonar while in the quiet ocean.

Immunity to Cold – Aquagirl’s body is built to survive the cold depths of the ocean, as a result, the chill is not a problem for her.

Super-Strength – Aquagirl is super-humanly strong thanks to the ocean conditioning her muscles

Swimming – It seems to go without saying, but Aquagirl is a superb swimmer and can move through water faster than many other characters with super-speed.

Underwater Breathing – Aquagirl can breathe in water just as easily as we can breathe air on land.

Vision Powers – Aquagirl can see in the dark as can most fish at the lower depths.

Withstand Pressure – Aqualad’s body is very dense and built to withstand the pressures of the deep.  This makes his body very resilient to damage.

Vulnerabilities

Fish Out of Water – Aquagirl can typically survive out of water for up to 1 hour at a time with no detriment.  She wears a costume that assists him in extending this limit to 1 day, after this Aquagirl must have water or she will begin to die.
