Buddy Baker is a stuntman who on one night saw a light out of the sky and when he went to investigate, he found himself bathed in an odd radiation that gave him the ability to duplicate the abilities of animals that are in close proximity to him.

Animal-Man became Buddy’s hero name and he often was employed locally in the Grand Canyon area to solve the odd problems.

Buddy would marry Ellen Frazier and they would have two children, Cliff and Maxine.

On occasion Buddy dons his costume again and helps out where he can, though the aliens that created him keep an eye on him for their own purposes.

Powers

Animal Mimicry - Buddy has the ability to mimic the ability of any animal in his range.  He can use mammals, fish, and birds to do this.  He may even be able to mimic insects.

Vulnerabilities

Animal Man is a normal human with normal vulnerabilities.

Skills

Acrobatics - Buddy is a natural acrobat, having used his abilities in his stunt work.

Athletics - Buddy, as a stunt man, must maintain a very athletic build and is used to taking physical abuse.
