This blog is called The Super FriendsA 1970-80s cartoon show featuring the flagship DC Characters and other original characters. of Dorothy for all those gay fans of comics and there are plenty of you out there.   It’s also for all those friends of us gay folks who enjoy comics as well.   Most of the comics characters that I talk about on this blog are property and copyright of DC Comics, Inc.   Please note this is a fan site and no infringement is meant in sharing my love of these iconic pieces of American mythology.

Along the way the plan is to introduce bits and pieces of the DC Universe to you.   Not in heaping Big Gulp portions, but in bite sized nuggets so that you want to know more.   The sites anecdotes start when I started collecting in 1982 and move forward and outward from there.   As I remember discovering the DC Universe is how I am going to unfold this universe to you.   As my thirst for more knowledge and more stories grew, I will go in those directions and hopefully bring you along for the ride.

I hope that you learn about the DCUAn abbreviation of DC Universe or DC Comics Universe. Meant to denote the comics that are published by DC Comics and the Universe that DC has built for its stories. and thirst for this bit of Americana like I do.   Love of the medium as a truly American art form and these heroic and villainous icons as the eternal struggle in humanity’s development.. what will win out?   Good or Evil?   Only time will tell.
